Reliable Scion and the Springfield Skatepark Project

On Sunday, October 14th Reliable Scion and the Springfield Skatepark Project hosted the third annual s3, the Scion Skate Show. This is a yearly event the dealership has held at the local skatepark to raise money for this Springfield City Park. Over the years the skatepark has provided a safe and monitored environment for kids and people of all ages to Skateboard, ride BMX bikes, and rollerblade. These sports have been glorified in the past few decades and with all the kids intersted in these sports, it only made sense for the city to build them a park to practice in.

Reliable employee, Scott Horberg, and Scion Champion came up with this idea 3 years ago and has executed it again this year with amazing results! Together with the help of many people including ScinergyOZ, the local Scion car Club, and several Reliable employees, we helped raise several thousand dollars over the past few years for the skatepark and hopefully made a good impression on the public with the Scion cars attending the event.

The event features a Scion car show, Skateboard tournament, Live music, DJ's, Radio Remotes, Free Food, Giveaways, Prizes and all kinds of festival like activities. Sponsors over the years have included Coca-Cola, Several skateboard shops including boardpusher.com, Soka Skate and Classic Boards, Q102.1fm, Reverse Logic Clothing, the 501st Stormtroopers, Life Essentials, and of course the Springfield Skatepark Project.

All the details for this years show can still be found on the website for the event www.s3event.com! Hope to see you all again next year!
